The mission of the Community Garden is to bring school children, teachers and community members together to work for a sustainable environment. The community garden will provide the children with access to fresh produce, support nutritional health, build awareness about food security and urban agriculture issues, strengthen their social connections, and promote sustainability, real life, hands on experience to study health, science, mathematics, ecology, agriculture and more.
It will be great to have fresh produce to provide healthy, nourishing meals to children at the center. Children will receive more nourishing snacks and meals thanks to the community garden initiative; this will be a great learning experience for the children. The produce that is harvested from the garden will be cooked into delicious meals for the students of Little Masters.
